Advanced Architecture
S6808 10G Core Routing Switch adopts distributed system architecture designs and high performed ASIC chips to process service, as well the Crossbar technologies for packet switching. It has the capability of full-wire-speed service processing and stable upgrading switching. The switching capability can be stable upgraded to 1.2 Tbps. Distributing Crossbar switching network converges to 1+1 back-up main control board connected by high-speed backplane to realize the redundant hot back-up of dual-main control and dual-switching network, which greatly improved system reliability.
High Capacity and High-Density
S6808 series can provide 1.2Tbps backplane bandwidth and 10 slots which can be configured to be redundant hot back-up working mode of 2 administrating modules and 8 service modules. 1.2Tbps switching capacity to support maximal 384 GE ports or 64 10GE ports totally. Ideal for powerful hardware platform upgrade capabilities, the S6808 series has reserved a large number of bus interfaces on the backplane for future system expansion. The system switching capacity can be smoothly expanded to terabits to meet the ever-increasing bandwidth needs and user investment protection.
Carrier-Class Reliability Design
S6808 series adopts distributed processing structure to support dual main control switching units with all interface modules and power supply modules hot-swappable and passive backplane design. The power system has dual power inputs following the 1+1 redundant hot back-up mechanism. All the reliability designs ensure the system to meet strict requirements for carrier-class network reliability (up to 99.999%).

S6808 series symbolizes the 10GE network practices by providing powerful QoS guarantee, rich services features such as ACL, strategic routing and security, wire-speed IPv4/IPv6 forwarding, IP VPN services and transparent LAN services.
Abundant QoS Mechanism
S6808 supports completed IPv4/IPv6 Diff-Serv/QoS, and granularity can be fined to 8Kbps. It also supports DSCP, IP, TOS priority and remark function of COS priority, and supports message redirection to configure message transmiting path according to the flow of network and also support SP, WRR, SP+WRR queue scheduler mechanism, and port mirroring, flow mirroring, and flow statistics, etc.

S6808 provides abundant monitor and network management to realize the monitor on task exeption, memory exeption, switching chips exeption and CPU utilization, stack exeption, etc. And Syslog can note logs which can be noted to NVRAM, FLASH, RAM, Telnet, SSH Console and Syslog servers. S6808 supports configuration security to authenticate logging in user, and user with different level can be configured different priority, and Telnet logging in password mechanism of ip address can also be configured; it also supports message safety filter to prevent illegal intrusion and malicious message attacking. It supports IEEE802.1x, AAA/Radius to authenticate user’s identification.
